As I was growing up Auntie Dee was my beautiful glamorous Auntie who cam home laden down with wonderful gifts and never called anyone by their real name cause she’d given them one she liked. My first memory as an adult was lanzarote 1996 I was 18 and got to see Auntie Dee in a whole new light we had chats, we danced on tables and I soon realised what a wicked fun person she was. From then on she was my friend and for me every family gathering Dee was at the centre of it all You didn’t even have to be family everyone who met Dee fell in love with her she was that kind of person you just want to be around all the time. A lady! A lady who spoke her mind and could get away with. She was so warm with a heart bigger than herself. She would do anything for you or anyone without question. Auntie Dee I love you always I’ll miss our chats when we put the world to rights but I know we’ll meet again Ger xxx
